Kimi Raikkonen has admitted he’s been left disappointed that he’s yet to secure a victory for Lotus this season after having come so close on a number of occasions.
“Of course when you get the good results and you get close then you get disappointed that you don’t win,” he said in Valencia on Thursday.
However according to the Finn, had Lotus been offered their recent run of results which sees them sitting third in the championship behind McLaren and Red Bull, then they would have happily accepted.
“If you had asked before the season if they had been happy with these results they would definitely have been,” he added. “They probably wouldn’t expect that they are so high up. But then when you are up there and you don’t win then of course it is disappointing. But if you give yourself sometimes a chance to win then of course you are expecting more.”
