Vitantonio Liuzzi admits his aim is to return to Formula 1 this season, but other racing commitments would mean any offer would require serious thought.
The Italian is currently racing in the Superstars Series having made his debut last week in Monza where he ended up second in the championship.
When asked if he would make a mid-season return to F1, which would mean abandoning his aim of winning the Superstar series championship, the former HRT driver admitted he’d have to ‘evaluate the situation’.
“If I had the chance to go back to F1 midway through the season I would need to evaluate the situation very carefully,” he told the Touring Car Times.
“Of course I’m still linked to the Grand Prix world as a third driver for HRT and it has a priority for me, so if the opportunity comes I would have to think about it and you never know what’s going to happen in the future.
“In the meantime we enjoy this good weekend we had at Monza and this new adventure I’m living and then we’ll see.”
