Nico Hulkenberg topped the testing times on day two in Barcelona, putting his Force India VJM05 top with a 1:22.608 – almost a second quicker than his best yesterday.

Sauber’s Sergio Perez held off Sebastian Vettel to go second fastest, just four hundredths behind Hulkenberg, and two tenths quicker than the Red Bull driver.

Fernando Alonso and Daniel Ricciardo held fourth and fifth for much of the day. The latter of the two, Ricciardo, found himself on the back of a low-loader twice, casuing two red flags for on-track stoppages.

Lewis Hamilton completed the most laps, 120, further proving the reliability of his MP4-27, whilst Nico Rosberg got to grips with his Mercedes for the first time during a public test.
