Robert Kubica has been released from hospital following the latest round of surgery to his leg, after he slipped and fell on ice near his rented apartment in Italy.
The Polish driver reopened a fracture in his right tibia, originally sustained during a horiffic rally accident back in February 2011, which hadn’t healed properly thanks to an extended period of bed rest last year.
He has now left hospital and returned to his home in Monaco to continue his rehabilitation, however the 27-year-old can’t resume physical training for two to three weeks, resulting in a possible delay to his original recovery process by a matter of weeks.
