Marussia Virgin Racing has officially become the Marussia F1 Team as of January 1st for the 2012 season, following Marussia Cars majority acquisition of the outfit in late 2010.

The team revealed its brand new logo on Sunday.

Marussia joins several teams in changing or tweaking their name as Mercedes opted to add AMG to their title for 2012, becoming Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team. Team Lotus switched to Caterham F1 Team whilst Renault becomes Lotus F1 Team.
