Kimi Raikkonen has injured himself after he fell from his snowmobile whilst competing in an annual event in Austria.
The Swatch Snowmobile Race, held in the popular Ski resort of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, sees riders compete against one another around a tight and twisty track.
The event often attracts Formula 1 drivers, though most opt not to compete.
It’s believed Raikkonen fell from his snowmobile after taking a corner too quick, landing on his hand and injuring it. The injury isn’t believed to be too serious and should recover before pre-season testing kicks off in February.
Renault confirmed the news on their Twitter page: “We just spoke to Kimi. There’s nothing to worry about, he only has a sore wrist. He might have it checked again on Monday, but that’s all.”
The events organiser, Andy Wernig added: “Our doctor has examined Kimi’s left hand, and he is now wearing a small bandage.”
