The BBC has secured the broadcaster of the year award at the 2011 FIA Prize Giving Gala in India, for their coverage of the season.
Amongst all the F1 broadcasters worldwide, the British Broadcasting Corporation, fronted by Jake Humphrey, David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan, came out on top.
The award, presented by Force India team principal Vijay Mallya, comes in the same season that the broadcaster agreed a deal to share its coverage with Sky Sports next season, meaning it will show just ten races live in 2012.
It has also lost much of its on and off-screen talent, including Martin Brundle, Ted Kravitz, Natalie Pinkham, David Croft and Anthony Davidson.
