Rodolfo Gonzalez will get a second chance to impress Team Lotus during the young driver test which kicks off on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.
The Venezuelan previously tested for the outfit at last years event before competing in the GP2 this season with Trident Racing, but has failed to score a point.
Rodolfo will drive on Tuesday, with Luiz Razia on Wednesday and American Alexander Rossi taking over the duties on the final day.
“We worked with Rodolfo last year at the same test and he performed well for us in the step up to F1,” Team Lotus CEO Riad Asmat said.
“With Rodolfo, Alexander and Luiz we have three talented up and coming drivers who will be keen to learn as much as possible, as well as show us they have the pace and temperament to succeed in Formula 1.”
