Felipe Massa has hit out against Lewis Hamilton for a second time in two days after the pair collided as they tussled for position in Singapore.
Hamilton drew alongside the Ferrari as they approached turn seven, but a late braking move from Massa got him ahead into the corner, whilst Hamilton struggled to slow down as he locked his front-left. Hamilton touched the rear of the Ferrari and lost his front-wing whilst Massa suffered a right-rear puncture.
After the race, in which Massa finished ninth and Hamilton finished fifth following a drive-through penalty, the Brazilian said he doesn’t listen despite repeated warnings.
“My thoughts are that, again, he cannot use his mind – even in qualifying,” Massa said referring to a close call in which the pair fought for track position.
“Again, he could’ve caused a big accident. He’s paying for it. He doesn’t understand that. He has done it to me so many times this year.
“It’s important the FIA study this and penalise him every time. I’ve talked to him but he doesn’t listen. Maybe his father can do something about it.”
Massa was seen pulling the 2008-world champion by his arm in the paddock before gently slapping it and saying ‘Good job Lewis”, Hamilton then replied: “Don’t touch me,” before walking off [Video here].
Meanwhile, Stefano Domenicali gave a more considered response: “Maybe he was a little too aggressive, but that’s racing. He was ahead of us again [at the finish].”
