Narain Karthikeyan will be back behind the wheel of the HRT for his home Grand Prix after securing a new sponsor, in the form of Hero Motors.
The deal will see the 34-year-old replace Daniel Ricciardo, who had previously replaced him earlier in the year, for the Indian GP at the Buddh International Circuit in October.
The companies logos will also be visible on the HRT car.
Pankaj Munjal, Managing Director of Hero Motors, spoke of the deal: “Hero Motors is committed to be amongst the first Indian corporate houses to compete in the Indian Grand Prix and we are indeed very proud to be associated with Narain Karthikeyan and Hispania Racing Team (HRT).
“The maiden Indian Grand Prix has given us an opportunity to represent ourselves in the international platform promoting the fastest Indian in the world. We are proud of the fact that we will be a part of the historic event when F1 makes its debut in India.”
