The FIA has confirmed the final revision of the 2012 Formula 1 calendar which has also been ratified by the WMSC.
The major change sees Bahrain swap with India. The latter had been scheduled in at the start of the year following on from the Chinese GP, but it will instead follow on from Korea.
Bahrain has moved back to the front of the calendar as the final race before a three-week break which will see the return of in-season testing at Mugello, prior to the Spanish GP in Barcelona.
Another alteration, sure to make fans shudder, will be a five-week break between Hungary and Belgium, which sees an entire month, August, without a race.
Toward the end of the season, Japan and Korea will be back to back races, as will the United States GP and the season ending Brazilian GP which sees the season end on November 25th.
The revision also confirms the loss of the Turkish GP.
