Karun Chandhok will be behind the wheel of the Team Lotus T128 in Belgium for the first practice session on Friday, it’s yet to be confirmed if he will replace Heikki Kovalainen or Jarno Trulli.
Chandhok already has some experience driving for the outfit this season after taking part in FP1 at the season opening Australian GP and the British GP.
He also competed in the entire German race weekend, replacing Trulli.
“After the summer break I am looking forward to being back in the car,” said the Indian driver. “Spa is one of the greatest circuits on the calendar and I love driving here.
“The weather here is unpredictable as always but this is still a good chance to gain some more experience with the team and get more comfortable with the car.”
The 27-year-old is hoping to compete in the first ever Indian GP this season and it’s believed the team are keen on giving him as much experience possible to prepare him for his home event.
