Silverstone saw a record crowd on Friday despite the Sebastian Vettel domination which has almost concluded the drivers’ title.
The pouring rain couldn’t keep the fans away either as 88,000 turned up to watch both first and second practice as well as the many other support series.
The figure is an increase of 3,000 on last years record breaking Friday of 85,000.
The circuit organisers expect close to 100,000 fans on Saturday, followed by 120,000 on race day.
