Ferrari’s technical director, Pat Fry, is hoping a few new updates will move them closer to McLaren and Red Bull this weekend in Canada.
The team have lagged behind at times, though have often shown very competitive pace as seen at the last race in Monaco which saw Fernando Alonso battling for the lead.
Fry hopes the latest updates for the F150º Italia will see them take a step forward in Montreal.
“There is always a steady stream of updates coming through and this time we will have a few changes to the diffuser and rear wing, which will bring a reasonable performance step if everything goes to plan,” he revealed.
“Hopefully we are still closing the gap to those ahead of us, allowing for the fact that others are working too.”
The Englishman is keen to see the Italian outfit move up the grid ‘very quickly’.
“It’s a great challenge, there are a lot of talented people here working very hard and if we can all come together to work out a sensible short term and long term plan, hopefully we can move forward very quickly.”
