Robert Kubica’s chances of returning to Formula 1 and racing in 2011 is extremely unlikely, according to Renault team owner Gerard Lopez.
The Genii Capital boss believes we could however see the Polish driver behind the wheel during Friday practice to aid his recovery following a horiffic rally accident.
“We’ll probably get him to test on a Friday at some point during this year, but I’m sure his return isn’t possible this year,” Lope Onda Cero – a Spanish radio station.
Lopez also warned that it’s too early to speculate whether Kubica will ever fully recover.
“Robert has survived a spectacular accident and now comes the most difficult part, which is to recover fully, something that no one, not himself, not the doctors, not ourselves, knows if he will achieve,” he said.
