Former Brabham, Ligier, Tyrrell and McLaren driver Mark Blundell will fulfill the role of driver steward for the Spanish Grand Prix.
Blundell, who was also a pundit on the ITV’s Formula 1 coverage as well as the current manager of McLaren’s reserve driver Gary Paffett and IndyCar winner Mike Conway, will sit on the stewarding panel for the first time this weekend.
The driver steward was introduced at the opening race of the 2010 season in a bid to increase the consistency of penalties handed out during the season.
