Red Bull’s Helmut Marko claims the outfit have got to the bottom of their KERS system which has failed on several occasions this season.
The system has known heating issues which, says Marko, have been modified over the Easter break.
“Our Kers system is fine, we have spent time over Easter making some modifications,” he told Bild.
“It is now much cooler [when in use]. It works.”
The news will come as relief to Sebastian Vettel and particularly Mark Webber. The Australian’s system hasn’t worked at any of the three races this season, whilst Vettel’s has been sporadic.
The German says he has ‘no worries’ and is confident the system will now work.
“We had some problems with the system, but we have very good people working on it,” said Vettel. “So I have no concerns for the next race [in Turkey], no worries.”
