Toro Rosso have been fined £8,800 (€10,000, $14,460) after they failed to securely attach the right-rear wheel on Jaime Alguersuari’s car during his Chinese Grand Prix pitstop.
The wheel worked its way loose and flew off the car just moments after the stop, flying over the catch fencing and narrowly missing some photographers and marshalls.
The Spaniard retired after the incident following a career best qualifying position of seventh.
