Lewis Hamilton continued his good form to secure third ahead of the championship leader, Fernando Alonso.
Jenson Button looked set to jump into P1 on his final flying lap however, a small error in the final sector pushed his McLaren wide, ruining the lap.
Further down the field, the order to be expected with the newcomers filling the final six places, Heikki Kovalainen the quickest.
