Red Bull’s highest paid employee, and the designer behind this season’s Constructors champions, Adrian Newey, has cemented his place within F1, and the team, after insisting, “I’ll be at Red Bull for a while to come.”
The 51-year old Brit, who is believed to earn over $10 million (£6.2 million) a year, has designed more championship winning cars than any other designer with cars from Williams, McLaren and now Red Bull all clinching the title.
“Red Bull are a great company,” he added. “They’re interested in many different areas. Maybe in the future we can do something different, but in the near future it’s Formula One.”
