The FIA has reported that Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren have passed the new, stricter floor tests imposed at the Italian GP this weekend.
At the last race in Belgium, the FIA introduced tougher wing load tests after the uproar surrounding flexible wings grew. All the teams passed those tests which led to further testing for Italy as both McLaren and Mercedes suspected it was in fact the floors flexing.
These tougher tests led to most teams modifying their bib in a bid to meet the new regulations. Despite the modifications, the top teams all confirmed the changes wouldn’t affect their competitiveness.
Under scrutiny after qualifying were Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari, Jenson Button’s McLaren and Mark Webber’s RedBull.
