Fernando Alonso took P1 on his final lap after a red flag, caused by ‘fans in a dangerous area’ as the onscreen message read, left the remaining driviers with just one final flying lap.
The Spaniard edged Force India’s Adrian Sutil into second, whilst Lewis Hamilton rounded off the top three.
