Renault have been fined $50,000 (£32,000) for the unsafe release of Robert Kubica on lap 16 of the Hungarian GP.
A safety car period, the result of debris from Vitantonio Liuzzi’s front-wing, led to the majority of the grid pitting.
As Robert Kubica was released from his pit-box, Adrian Sutil was just about to pull into his, leading to the two colliding.
That left Sutil with race ending damage whilst Kubica managed to re-join a lap down on the leaders. He was subsequently penalised with a 10 second stop and go penalty, but chose to retire instead.
