Lewis Hamilton has doubted that he could win on home soil on Sunday after admitting the Red Bull are over a second a lap quicker than the Woking-based squad.
Hamilton admitted that, although his qualifying lap was his “best ever lap, The Red Bull is a second and a bit ahead.”
The 25-year old has also admitted that himself and Jenson Button, who qualified in a disastrous 14th place, could face competition from the other three-teams who are using the blown-diffuser this weekend.
Even with all of the doubts, Hamilton is however, remaining confident and said, “These guys are clearly faster than us but we can still get a great result [on Sunday].”
