The FIA had a busy few hours during and after the Canadian GP with several incidents attracting the stewards attention.
Vitaly Petrov received a drive-through penalty for a jump-start, then a second drive-through for causing a first lap accident between himself and Pedro de la Rosa.
Nico Hulkenberg was the second driver to receive the stewards attention for breaching 30.12 of the sporting regulations for speeding in the pitlane.
Felipe Massa was also caught in the act of speeding, however he wasn’t reprimanded until after the race, so a 20-second penalty was added to his race time. However as he finished one lap down on race winner Lewis Hamilton, the added time made no difference to the end result.
Renault had a poor day in front of the stewards with Robert Kubica being reprimanded for entering the pits dangerously. He cut in front of Adrian Sutil as the Force India driver was about to tackle the final chicane.
Jaime Alguersuari was also reprimanded for his incident with Rubens Barrichello.
The stewards decided to take no action against Micheal Schumacher who, it’s thought, brake tested Felipe Massa down the straight leading onto the start/finish line. Massa lost his front wing in the process.
