Christian Klien will replace Karun Chandhok at Hispania for the first practice session on Friday in Barcelona the team has confirmed.
The Austrian driver joined the Spanish team earlier this week as test and reserve driver, alongside Sakon Yamamoto. He is keen on securing a full race seat for the 2011 season and believes this is a valuable stepping stone to his return.
Chandhok will continue driving duties in Friday’s second practice.
