Two-time world champion, Mika Hakkinen, is the latest former-driver to be linked with an F1 return, though not behind the wheel this time, more in a managerial role.
The Finn has been linked with becoming Lewis Hamilton’s next manager after the 25-year old released his father of the duty at the start of the 2010 season.
Hakkinen who has most recently raced in the Germany-based DTM motorsport series told the media, “I miss racing every day. It’s very close to my heart, I’ll be back, perhaps as a manager.”
Hakkinen, who won both his championships at McLaren before retiring in 2001 has 161 race starts and 51 podium finishes under his belt.
