Sir Stirling Moss has, from his hospital bed, thanks all of his fans and well-wishers after an accident in his home last week.
Moss fell down a faulty elevator shaft at his home and broke both of his ankles and four other bones. The 80-year old is said to be recovering well and took time out on Saturday to thank everyone who had taken time to send their wishes.
“I would like to thank everybody out there who was kind enough to write to me or email me after the shunt I had at the weekend,” he told his official website
“I am glad to say I am feeling better, I’m not feeling great, but I am feeling better and hopefully [up] within a week or so.
“Then I will have to take it easy, which is a bit of a bore, but still… I will be bouncing back as soon as I possibly can.”
