Nico Hulkenberg sailed to the top of the times on Friday. The Williams driver set the quickest time of the day, easily beating Mark Webber’s quickest on day one.

Fernando Alonso held the top spot before lunch, looking comfortably quick, before Hulkenberg managed to beat Alonso’s best by 0.023 seconds.

Without knowing the fuel weights it’s hard to gauge much from the times, however a 1:20.614 is certainly a quick time, even on low fuel.

Pedro de la Rosa also set a blisteringly quick time in his Sauber C29, ending just three hundredths back.
