Anticipation continues to ramp up for the season opening Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Today, IMSA released the full 61 car lineup that will take the green at the end of January as well as the world-class drivers that will pilot them.
In December, the series released the full car lineup for the 61st running of the race. The field will be made up of 25 GTD entries, eight GTD Pro, nine LMP3 machines, 10 LMP2 and nine GTP cars making their debut at the race.
Most high profile entries have already released their lineup prior to this announcement but for the more small-time entries, this release confirms previously unreleased driver signings.
Of the 61 teams and 230 drivers confirmed for this year’s event, 62 drivers have seen the top step, either in class or overall, at the American endurance classic.

Teams will take part in an IMSA sanctioned test Jan. 20-22 before the qualifying round a week before the race. The race itself kicks off at 2pm Eastern time on Jan. 28 and will conclude 24 hours later on Sunday Jan. 29.
