Valentino Rossi’s VR46 outfit has revealed the livery it will campaign throughout its debut MotoGP season as it makes the step into full team ownership for 2022.

The Italian squad – running a pair of customer Ducati machines for its premier class bow – will be ridden by sophomore racer Luca Marini – who raced with the Avintia team last year that has been taken over by Rossi’s organisation – as well as rookie Marco Bezzecchi, who makes the step up from Moto2.

Featuring branding from title sponsor Mooney – an Italian banking firm – VR46’s Desmosedici’s feature a predominantly slate grey colour scheme with flashes of orange and yellow, the former representing the colours of Money while the latter represents Rossi’s historic bright yellow racing colour.

It also revealed the colours of its Moto2 programme for 2022, with Celestino Vietti entering his second term with VR46’s intermediate class team while Niccolo Antonelli makes the step up to Moto2 after a decade spent in Moto3, scoring a total of four wins across his time in the series.
