Ferrari has boosted its technical team with the signing of Lotus’s head of aerodynamics, Dirk de Beer.
The Italian team has been restructuring its technical department for the past few seasons as it attempts to regain ground to its rivals, particularly Mercedes and Red Bull.
De Beer will join the team at the end of the current season, once his Lotus contract has come to an end – therefore he isn’t likely to have much input into the initial 2014 car.
Most recently, Ferrari signed James Allison who began working for the team last week. Allison also left Lotus, marking another blow to the Enstone outfit.
