Fernando Alonso faces losing his fifth place finish and ten points at the Hungarian Grand Prix after the race stewards found the Spaniard had used his DRS when it was supposed to be disabled.
A report filed by technical delegate Jo Bauer found it had been used on three occasions when it shouldn’t have been.
“After the race DRS activation data from car number three was analysed. It was found that the driver had activated the adjustable bodywork on three occasions when he was more than one second behind another car.
“As this is not in conformity with Article 27.5 (b) of the 2013 Formula One Sporting Regulations I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.”
