The Sauber F1 Team and Chelsea Football Club are set to announce a joint sponsor – the first such deal since the two teams joined forces.
The pair formed a partnership in April which sees the Chelsea FC logo on both Sauber C31’s, whilst Sauber logo’s have been displayed on advertising hoardings at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay confirmed a backer had come forward interested in backing both the teams, and an announcement would come soon.
“The first commercial joint venture will be announced in two months’ time,” told the Daily Mail.
“You are going to see some results of the partnership very soon. We both want to be winners in our field and have the same values. Through our relationship with Sauber, we can go into 19 different markets in one season.”
