Vettel dominates in India to beat Alonso

Sebastian Vettel secured his fourth race win in a row, giving him five wins in 2012 so far putting him firmly in control of the championship battle.

The Red Bull driver led from start to finish and other than a sparking underfloor toward the end of the race, came under little pressure from his rivals.

Fernando Alonso came in second to keep his title hopes alive and limit the damage in the championship. A brilliant opening few corners saw him fight with the McLaren duo to come out ahead of Lewis Hamilton who ended the race fourth, just a second behind Mark Webber who lost KERS in the closing laps.

Much of the action took place in the midfield as the tyre situation saw the majority of drivers stop just the once.
