Callum Ilott will make his first start in the 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of Iron Lynx’s GTE Am line-up.
The 2020 Formula 2 runner-up and Alfa Romeo test and reserve driver will partner Rino Mastronardi and Matteo Cressoni aboard the #80 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
Ilott already has some experience with the Italian outfit, as he joined them for two rounds in the GT World Challenge Europe, finishing fourth on both occasions.
“It is a real honour to be chosen to drive for Iron Lynx and Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – and an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down! There’s a great tradition of British drivers doing well there, and I will be aiming to make my own contribution to Le Mans history,” said Ilott.
Andrea Piccini, the Italian squad’s team principal, will instead step away from the cockpit and focus on operating the team’s three-car assault on the GTE Am crown at Le Mans.
Alongside the #80 car, the team has also entered the #60 Ferrari for Claudio Schiavoni, Paolo Ruberti and Raffaele Giammaria, as well as the all-female #85 Iron Dames entry for Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy.
