Force India co-owner and team principal Vijay Mallya has had the arrest warrant against him dropped, following the settlement of fees owed to the Hyperbad Airport.
The warrant, issued prior to the Korean Grand Prix, came about following a row over $2 million in unpaid service charges for his airline, Kingfisher.
The airport has now called for the warrant to be withdrawn after the payments were settled.
J.B. Chenna Keshava Rao, a lawyer overseeing the case, told The Press Trust of India that “the case has now been withdrawn.
“They asked us to withdraw the case after which we informed the court about withdrawal of the case which has been agreed upon.”
