Two GTE Am teams have made late line-up changes ahead of this Sunday’s Six Hours of Monza, the third round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Belgian racer Sarah Bovy will be making her FIA WEC debut at the Iron Lynx squad as a last-minute replacement aboard the #85 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

Bovy will replace Manuela Gostner as the team’s bronze-rated driver aboard the all-female Ferrari, partnering Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting.

Elsewhere in the GTE Am field, silver-rated Maxwell Root is a late addition to the line-up for Team Project 1’s #46 Porsche 911 RSR-19.

Root will replace Axcil Jefferies, partnering the Norwegian duo of Dennis Olsen and Anders Buchardt.

The 22-year-old American driver will be making his first start in the FIA World Endurance Championship outside of last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, when he partnered with Jan Magnussen and Richard Heistand aboard a JMW Motorsport Ferrari.

Root contested the Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier this year, racing for rival GTE Am outfit TF Sport.

Team Project 1’s second Porsche will make its first race appearance of the season, having missed out on the opening two rounds as a result of a crash from Buchardt in the pre-season Prologue test at Spa-Francorchamps.

The resulting damage meant the team had to skip the season opener at the Belgian track, whilst also not attending round two at Portimao as a replacement chassis could not be sourced in time.

The team’s other car, the #56 Porsche, sits fourth in the GTE Am standings after finishing second in class at Portimao.
