Mark Webber managed to overcome Fernando Alonso in the closing stages of the British Grand Prix to become 2012’s second two-time winner.

Alonso, who started on pole, controlled much of the race but couldn’t keep the Australian behind him in the final few laps as his tyres struggled to keep traction.

The Ferrari driver managed to keep second ahead of Sebastian Vettel who claimed the final podium spot, finishing just 1.7 seconds behind.

Felipe Massa has his best weekend this season to claim fourth, having started fifth. The Lotus duo secured fifth and sixth with Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Bruno Senna and Jenson Button completing the points.
