Toyota goes one-two in final Spa practice session

Toyota Gazoo Racing has topped the timesheets for the final free practice session ahead of the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, with Kamui Kobayashi leading team-mate Kazuki Nakajima.

Kobayashi went quickest in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid by posting a 02:02:516, 0.350s quicker than his compatriot in the #8 car.

Alpine Endurance Team meanwhile took sixth overall, with Nicolas Lapierre posting a 02:04:110 in the #36 Alpine 480-Gibson.

In LMP2, United Autosports performed a clean sweep of practice sessions as Filipe Albuquerque led the way in the #22 ORECA 07-Gibson by posting a 02:03:761.

The Portuguese driver led the two G-Drive Aurus 01s of Roberto Merhi and Nyck de Vries respectively, while Realteam Racing and Racing Team Nederland completed the top five in class behind the Alpine Hypercar.

Porsche meanwhile returned to the top of the board after briefly being knocked off by Ferrari in the second session.

Kevin Estre went quickest with a 02:11:936 in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, seven tenths ahead of team-mate Richard Lietz in the sister #91 Porsche.

The two Ferraris posted the third and fourth fastest times, with the #52 Ferrari of Daniel Serra ahead of the #51 sister car. The #63 Corvette C8.R came in fifth.

Finally, Matteo Cairoli was back to leading GTE Am as the Italian led the way in the #56 Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR-19 ahead of Matt Campbell’s #77 Dempsey-Proton Porsche and the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Alessio Rovera.
