McLaren have confirmed that they will launch their 2012 challenger, the MP4-27, on February 1st at a yet unknown location.
The team also confirmed it has every intention to run the new chassis at the first pre-season test between February 7th and 10th at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
The outfit will join Red Bull, Ferrari, Sauber and Williams, all of which have also confirmed their attendance at the first test with their new cars, unlike Mercedes which confirmed last month that it would intentionally miss Jerez in favour of running their old car, the MGP-W02, to take advantage of the extra development time before the second and third tests in Barcelona later in the month.
