Ricky Taylor has set the fastest time in night practice for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, outpacing rival Pipo Derani by under two-tenths of a second.

Taylor lapped Sebring International Raceway in 01:48:358, which was enough to put the #7 Acura ARX-05 on top of the leaderboards. The #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-VR of Pipo Derani was 0.177s back, with Olivier Pla third in the #77 Mazda RT24-P.

Ryan Briscoe was fourth for Wayne Taylor Racing, ahead of Dane Cameron’s #6 Acura ARX-05 in fifth place.

In LMP2, Mikkel Jensen continues to lead the way in the #8 Tower Motorsport by Starworks ORECA 07-Gibson, posting a 01:50:127 to top the class ahead of PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports’ Simon Trummer.

Much like in the first two session, Porsche showed great pace in night practice by leading one-two for the third consecutive practice outing. Nick Tandy was the quickest driver, posting a 01:58:170 behind the wheel of the #911 Porsche 911 RSR-19 to outpace team-mate Laurens Vanthoor by just 0.030s.

Connor de Phillippi was less than three-tenths back in third place in the #25 BMW M8 GTE, with Antonio Garcia in fourth place in the #3 Corvette.

The sister Corvette, in the hands of Oliver Gavin, had a minor brush with the barriers halfway through the session but did not appear to suffer any significant damage. It ended the session sixth, behind the #25 BMW M8 GTE of Augusto Farfus.

In GTD, Franck Perera led the way for GRT Grasser Racing Team in a very close session that saw the top seven runners separated by under half a second.

Perera posted a time of 02:02:510 in the #11 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, which was 0.130s quicker than Lawson Aschenbach’s best time in the #74 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3. Ian James was third in the #23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3, with Andrew Davis fourth for Team Hardpoint and Alessandro Balzan fifth for Scuderia Corsa.

Nick Yelloly, a last minute replacement for Bill Auberlen aboard the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3, did well to come in sixth in the night time session, a mere 0.018s ahead of Jan Heylen in the #16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R in seventh.
