Sauber driver Sergio Perez will be behind the wheel of Ferrari’s 2009 challenger, the F60, as part of Ferrari’s Driver Academy.
Perez will share the cockpit with another Ferrari young driver, Jules Bianchi – the Frenchman currently sits third in the GP2 championship.
The test will take place on Thursday at the Fiorano testing facility in Italy which is owned by the Italian outfit.
FDA director, Luca Baldisserri, said back in July that the aim of the test was to put the two drivers up against one another to see how they performed, with many believing Ferrari are keen to see Perez promoted to a factory seat in 2013, replacing Felipe Massa.
“It will be a very interesting test, because we will be putting Jules Bianchi and Sergio Perez up against one another,” said Baldisserri. “I think they will both be very motivated and for us it will be the perfect opportunity to assess both drivers.”
