Sebastian Vettel claimed the top spot during second practice for the Italian GP, pushing Lewis Hamilton off the top spot, although Hamilton’s FP1 time remains quickest.

The gap between the two was just 0.036, though Hamilton looked to be going quicker on his final lap before encountering traffic.

Michael Schumacher slipped into third place, a further three tenths back.

Both Ferrari cars had better sessions with Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso completing the top five quickest.
