In a complete contradiction to what he said told the media on Sunday, Michael Schumacher has expressed his concern today over the fact that he believes that his MGP W01 isn’t currently a race winning car.
The seven-time world champion told British newspaper, The Sun, “We’re not perfectly in the position we would like to be, probably to be competing to win the first races straight away.”
The German has said that initially, his teams objectives are to simply challenge the top teams, winning will come later, however, he has admitted that it is “very difficult to judge what the real picture is now.”
Mercedes GP concluded their pre-season testing in Barcelona on Sunday and it was Britain’s Lewis Hamilton that topped the time sheets.
