Jarno Trulli has admitted that he may leave the sport at the end of 2011 after what he described as “tough times.”
Since joining Lotus at the start of 2010, the Italian Veteran has rarely been seen out of the bottom of the rankings, with team-mate Heikki Kovalainen consistently quicker than him – this, Jarno argues, is a direct result of the T128 not being able to cope with his precise driving style.
“These are not good times,” Jarno told Italy’s La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“After 2010 I expected to be fighting in the middle but we are still at the back. It’s tough not fighting for high places any more. I could have a look around and leave F1, without quitting racing.”
The veteran of 250 races and 15 seasons has admitted that although he wouldn’t be looking at Indycar, a seat within a “top team” in Le Mans would be of some interest to the 36-year old.
