Sauber driver Sergio Perez has been given the all clear to take part in the Canadian Grand Prix following a heavy accident during qualifying for the Monaco GP almost a fortnight ago.
The Mexican driver lost control of his C30 as he exited the tunnel before slamming into the barrier to his right. He then finished up embedded in the protective barriers guarding a temporary crane.
The driver was taken to hospital where he spent the next two days undergoing medical checks.
His latest checks, carried out by FIA Medical Delegate Jean Charles Piette and the Medical Officers of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal have found him fit to race this weekend.
