IMSA and the Daytona International Speedway have announced that a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend the upcoming Weathertech 240 at Daytona, set for July 4.
The Speedway says it will allow 5000 fans to attend the race, with the availability of seating in the frontstretch grandstands, as well as a limited number of infield camping guests.
Only Florida residents will be allowed to attend the race. All guests will be screened before entering the facility, required to wear face coverings and maintain six-feet of social distancing throughout the venue.
In addition, multiple handwashing and hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the operating areas and entrances. Fans who have entered the Speedway will not be allowed to leave and then return.
Camping guests can only stay in designated areas and are not allowed to camp elsewhere. A maximum of 6 guests are allowed per spot, and when in theor own spot and with their own party, guests will not have to wear masks, but masks are required elsewhere.
