The FIA has decided that Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Mark Webber and Jaime Alguersuari should only face a reprimand rather than a penalty for not slowing down under yellow flags.
The incident, which took place on lap 48, saw Heikki Kovalainen make a small mistake, resulting in him going off-track and hitting the barriers which bought out the yellow flags.
The Team Lotus driver later admitted to it being his fault: “I made a mistake on the entry to turn four and went off but up until that point the race was pretty good.”
According to McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh, the duo slowed down enough to prove that they acknowledged the incident.
