Pirelli takes a look at the stresses and strains the tyres, and car, undergo during a single lap of the Circuit de Catalunya.

The soft as well as the new hard tyre, which will debut at the grand prix, will experience 800kg of vertical load as they enter turn nine.

The tyre will also feel 4.83G’s of force as the driver brakes for turn ten, wearing the right front tyre heavily.

The tyre supplier expects most cars to stop three times.
